April 19, 2010 – Education Times - Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, has been accorded approval by the ‘UGC-AICTE-DEC Joint Committee’ for all its programmes that are being offered through the distance education mode. This decision, which was made in the 35th meeting of the university in the New Delhi, specified that distance education and online education cannot have boundaries or state jurisdiction and therefore theseprogrammes should be offered as per the ACT and statutes of the university.

December 29, 2009- Dehradun- The Dec 27th Event in Dehradun was a whooping success marked by resounding presence of over 500 intrested onlookers asking for more.

The event was on "Animation & Multimedia: Scopes and Careers" had a over a dozen number of on the spot admissions for Diploma and Degree courses run by TGC.The itenary included the interaction from who' who of the industry. Mr. Pradeep jain, Chairman, MIMT has given the opening speech The chief guest was Shree Threesh Kapoor a renowned Photographer and art lover.The event was started by the traditional deep lighting ceremony followed by indepth coverage of technical sessions by Team CG monkies.

September 23, 2009 – New Delhi - TGC Animation and Multimedia, A leading training company in India in Animation and Multimedia training, in collaboration with Punjab Technical University has successfully completed in take for 2009-2010 session.

Other than Degree programme, TGC have launched 18-month Specialisation course called as “Advanced Diploma in 2D/3D Animation and Game Art”. It covers commercial aspects of animation, visual culture and communication, and research methodology, and includes a 3-month Studio Internship at an Animation production company or a TV channel of repute.

A student would have the opportunity to pursue an internship with Indi-Visual Graphics & Multimedia Studio a right wing production unit of TGC Animation and Multimedia.

Announcing the launch of Internship programme scheme, Mr. Ravi Ranjan, Director said ‘TGC Animation and Multimedia has always been passionate in animation education and training in India. Our first production named “LUV-KUSH” will invite most sought after internship for the deserving students of TGC just during their Programme, This will prove our underlying philosophy for education and training with the latest methodology and technology.’

The Degree Programme in Animation is the ultimate course for ambitious Animators. It gives the opportunity to a talent to pursue higher grounds of learning in animation through research and training.
